As a nation, we're a little bit addicted to lip balm. It's the one product that's guilt-free, filed under a 'must have' beauty product rather than a little indulgence; even my makeup-free friends have upwards of twenty lip balms stashed in their bedrooms. I'm as guilty as the next person, always having at least three different incarnations on my person - I get a little panicked if I don't have a balm to lubricate my lips and ensure they're free from that horrendous dry sensation. Although I've already got a huge stash of lip balms and enough to get me through to 2020, there's no reason why I can't keep expanding my collection and celebrating the wonderous products that are out there to help us through the colder season. Here are four new favourites that you need to try...

1. Vaseline Queen Bee Limited Edition Lip Balm (£3.99)
The latest limited edition version of the classic pot, this honey scented balm is delicious. The pot design is excuse enough to make a purchase, while the formula inside is the much-loved original version just with an added scent. Although Vaseline isn't great at hydrating lips (it just creates a barrier to prevent further moisture loss,) there's no doubt that this would be great over lipstick for a glossy finish, as well as helping to protect against the elements.
2. Korres Pomegranate Lip Butter (£8.00)
The shea butter and rice wax in this 'butter' provides lips with deep, long-lasting moisture and protection from the elements. The formula is surprisingly lightweight and includes a delicate tint that is perfect for adding a touch of colour to your pout. The pot is tiny and perfectly sized for handbags, plus the pomegranate scent is gorgeous.
3. Arran Aromatics Honey & Lemon Lip Balm (£3.50)
This reminds me of honey and lemon Lemsip, but in a good way - the scent isn't overwhelming and the formula is rich enough to provide lubrication and comfort when you need it most. The tub is surprisingly large and offers a huge amount of product for the price point; definitely one to check out as we head toward snow season!
4. Nuxe Reve de Miel 20th Anniversary Lip Balm (£9.50)
Who knew that this little tub of wonder has been around for 20 years? Now available in three colours to celebrate the anniversary, the product within is incredibly rich and needs some working between the fingers before applying. Apparently, one of these is sold every 28 seconds throughout the world and the formula has been proven to provide comfort and support to lips even in the Canadian climate! This is lip balm with serious power.
Are you going to be stocking up on any of these this Winter? Are you a lip balm hoarder, or do you prefer to stick to one put for the whole season?
