I've featured a couple of different brands on LBQ that have offered a similar concept to My Jolie Candle, but until now they've been incredibly chunky and a little bit tacky. However, My Jolie Candle (a French brand now taking steps into the UK) offer something a little bit more sophisticated and well thought through. With six different scents to choose from, including 'freshly cut grass' and 'lemonade', the people behind the brand have really taken care and attention with their concept - they not only want to deliver a little surprise when the candle is burnt, but to ensure there's a huge amount of pleasure in the candle and scent itself. The candles are packaged in a clean, fresh, transparent glass tub and contain a little foil-wrapped surprise behind the label; when the candle is burned for long enough your gift will become visible and you can unwrap it to discover the treasure that lays inside. Oooooh.... Exciting!

Unlike other candle brands with a similar concept, My Jolie Candle allows you to choose between a bracelet, ring and necklace - even providing different size options to ensure your treasure fits perfectly. This was the problem with other brands I've featured, as the treasures and jewellery were never appropriately sized for my small hands and fingers; My Jolie Candle gives the customer the control and ensures a perfect gift every time. The quality of the jewellery is also so much better than any other jewellery candle brand I've experienced, offering items I'd actually wear - rather than reject rings from a 1980's junk shop. (Harsh but true!)
You only have to look at the feed of #MyJolieSuprise to see the plethora of cute trinkets, precious stones and desirable pieces that have been discovered by other customers... A true testament to the value provided with each candle. At €19.90 for the ring candle, €24.90 for the bracelet and €29.90 for the necklace, all three options are incredibly affordable - especially as you get the candle thrown in too. I love this concept and am so glad that finally someone is doing it well. I think they make amazing gifts for birthdays and Christmas, as well as a great way to light up your living room now the nights are getting darker. This blogger is sold.
