Painted nails can be the final flourish to an outfit, or an easy way to update your look. But we’ve all been there when time is tight and you can’t hang around waiting for them to dry - or even worse, you break a nail before a big event. L’Oreal have come up with the perfect solution to these problems with their new 'Nails a Porter' range. 'Nails a Porter' are easy to use, stick-on nails that will last up to five days. There are 24 nails in each packet in 12 different sizes, adhesive stickers that match to each size of nail, plus a mini nail file to help get an even and professional finish.

To use, simply match up the right size nail to each finger, snap the nail off of the central column and then select the adhesive sticker in the right size. Apply the adhesive sticker to your nail, remove the backing paper, place the nail on top, press down firmly to secure in place and you're done! The whole process took me less than 10 minutes; so much quicker than painting my nails and waiting for them to dry.
The adhesive stickers are very strong, so do be careful when positioning the nail as if you apply it wonky, you won’t easily be able to get it back off to reposition. I’ve worn mine for several days without any lifting or movement, despite cleaning, washing up and showering, so they really are very secure! To remove the nails, simply place a few drops of acetone based nail polish remover at the base of the nail, wait a few seconds and then gently lift the nail away.
The nails themselves are very flexible and also reasonably short, so do look quite natural when on. I was asked how I’d done the design on mine while out and about (the lady was very surprised when I told her that were fake), so you don’t have to worry about them looking obviously false. At the moment the range has 5 designs: including a classic French manicure, through to a black and gold design which would be perfect for a night out. They will be launching into L’Oreal stands in the next few weeks and a set will cost you £7.99.
I’ve been really impressed with these nails and hope in the future L’Oreal will bring out some more intricate nail art designs to help those of us out who aren’t that steady with a paintbrush. What do you think of these nails?
