With BB Creams slowly taking over the world, it's quite daunting attempting to find one that will actually deliver on promises. With the majority of High Street brands actually offering tinted moisturisers disguised as BB Creams, it's even more important to ensure you're investing in a product that will deliver above and beyond expectations. BB Creams should provide all the skincare benefits of a moisturiser, paired with the makeup benefits of a great foundation, primer and highlighter. With so many on offer, how do you know what to ignore and what to pick up? You need my top three picks...
The original BB Cream that is used throughout Asian markets, Dr Jart+ is completely untouchable by any other brand (in my opinion.) The formula is thick and almost grey, melting into your face to leave your complexion looking and feeling radiant. It covers imperfections, brightens dullness and even works on extremely tired 'hungover' skin. This is a one stop shop for fabulous skin, no matter how horrendous it looks underneath. Just add a touch of concealer to brighten under-eye bags and cover any nasty pimples, and you're ready to strut out the door.
2. Boots No7: Beautiful Skin BB Cream (£12.95)
The closest formula I've found to Dr Jart+, this really does help you to achieve beautiful skin in only a few minutes. The formula is thick and easy to manoevre around the face, helping to brighten and conceal any dullness. It lasts all day without turning greasy, as well as looking great on naked complexions when you're having a 'down day'. A perfect addition for holiday, this even comes in different variants to suit your skin type.
3. Rodial: BB Venom Skin Tint (£35.00)
Although this is double the price of the other two picks, Rodial really do deliver on the skincare benefits. The added dipeptide helps to plump skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, making this perfect for those looking for anti-ageing properties. A little goes a long way and the formula helps to create a near-flawless result on the skin. Although the coverage isn't full, it's perfect for those who don't want to blend away their features.
