This May, BeautyUK returns to the NEC Birmingham for two days of ultimate pampering, bargain hunting and education. Featuring over 500 leading brands, (including Bliss, Dermalogica, Elemis, EOS, Herbalife, Ink London, Karin Herzog, Lash Perfect, Magnitone, NYX Cosmetics & Tweezerman) the BeautyUK show also features NailsUK, HairUK & Holistic Health under the same roof. With new product and treatment innovations being shown for the first time, as well as inspiring educational programmes, professional networking opportunities and 1000s of exclusive offers, it's an event not to be missed. Here's my ultimate guide of what to do, where to stay and how to get there.
What To Check Out At The Show
Not only are there hundreds of bargains to be had, educational workshops to visit and much more besides, but the National Make-up Artist Awards are taking place as part of BeautyUK too. There will be holistic health demonstrations, a nail art competition, numerous workshops and many chances to get hands on with new treatments and products. Make sure you check out some of my favourite brands too, including Bliss, Elemis, EOS, Karin Herzog, NYX Cosmetics & Tweezerman.
How To Get There
The NEC is in the perfect location for car travel (8 miles east of Birmingham city centre and at the heart of the UK motorway network,) but can equally be accessed easy via national rail. The NEC is right next to Birmingham International rail station, meaning you can get to the show quickly and conveniently, without having to step outside!
Where To Stay
There are plenty of great hotels located in the perfect area of Birmingham, with easy access to the NEC via car, taxi or local transport. The Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC provides a modern and comfortable environment to relax for a few days, while the Holiday Inn Birmingham M6 offers a more affordable price point if you don't plan on being within the hotel for too long! If you need some help, you can always checkout Visit Birmingham which will provide lots of helpful tips.
What To Do In Birmingham
While you're in Birmingham, why not make the most of the local attractions and extend your stay? Not only is there a National Sea Life Centre that takes you on a 'magical journey beneath the waves,' but Cadbury's World is not to be missed. You can discover the origins of chocolate, find out how your favourite bars are made and even stuff your face silly! Don't forget one of the country's best shopping malls too - The Bullring boasts over 160 different shops, as well as amazing eateries.
What are you waiting for? Get your ticket absolutely FREE when you register before the event via the website here. Will you be attending BeautyUK 2014?
