The scent of aerosol deodorant reminds me of the girl's changing room after PE at school, the air full of that musty white smoke that left everything delicately covered in sprinkles. I haven't used aerosol deodorants since, associating them with horrendous white marks and stinging underarms, preferring to opt for stick or cream formulas. However, when Vaseline asked me to undertake a challenge on behalf of their new Double Invisible deodorant, I couldn't say no. Double Invisible contains Vaseline's unique ProDerma formula, a unique skin caring complex which can help to protect the underarm skin. Combined with an alcohol free and non sting formula that's suitable for even sensitive skin, it's really quite pleasant to use. Not only is it great at helping protect your underarms, it helps to protect your clothes from the build up of yellowing stains; it keeps whites white for longer, while keeping blacks black too. Vaseline challenged me to put Double Invisible to the test, wearing it throughout an intensive tap class and then under my LBD for cocktails with the girls. Could it really provide intensive protection while being completely invisible?

I've taken up tap classes in the last few months, reigniting my love for the dance that took up most of my childhood. Although tap dancing may sound quite lightweight, it actually gets quite intense after an hour of jumping up and down - I definitely get a sweat on and leave the studio feeling a little warm and sticky! The Vaseline Double Invisible deodorant applies completely clear to the skin, preventing your underarms from looking like they're caked in flour. It's super light and left me feeling confident and protected throughout the class, with no build up on my clothes or any discolouration whatsoever. In fact, it's hard to detect you're even wearing anything at all! There was definitely no product build-up or discoloration on my gym top, nor did my underarms feel powdery.
The next stage was to take a shower, slip into something a bit more glamorous and hit the town for a few cocktails with my girlfriends. Double Invisible was great to apply under my Little Black Dress, especially as my choice included mesh arms - if there was any residue then it would definitely be easy to spot! It's super light and the scent is delicate, not compromising or overpowering my perfume. Again, it protected me easily without leaving any white marks on my dress... Even though the mesh arms were super tight, there was no transference or build-up (something I know I get from my usual stick deodorant.)
So, the verdict? Vaseline Double Invisible definitely exceeded my expectations. It left no marks whatsoever, even after topping up my deodorant multiple occasions throughout the evening, and remained completely clear. Although the light formula did take a little while to get used to (I like to feel like I'm wearing something!) it's definitely one I'll continue to use in the future - especially as these little compressed cans are only £1.89 each. It's great to feel confident, no matter what I'm wearing, and know that I don't have to wash a dress I've worn for three hours just because it's covered in deodorant marks. If you're sick of white or yellow marks all over your clothes, then Vaseline Double Invisible is definitely something to try.
