LBQ's Top Three: Hair Heroes

I'm forever on a mission for glossier, knot free hair. You know when you see those girls with perfectly polished, swishy hair? I want that! Instead, I usually have a barnet full of flyaways, frizz and tangles. I have fine hair, but lots of it - a menacing combination that requires a lot of maintenance to keep it looking (half) groomed. However, my quest for hair worthy of a Herbal Essences advert has led me to discover a handful of hair care gems that, along with my trusty Tangle Teezer,  make my life a whole lot easier. Here are my top three must-have hair heroes.

top three hair heroes

1. Pureology's Hydrate Conditioner (£16.00)
I could no longer live without this delightfully minty, deeply hydrating conditioner. It may carry a hefty price tag, but it's worth every penny. As well as being formulated with an AntiFade Complex to keep my colour looking fresher for longer, it’s intensely conditioning and leaves my hair noticeably softer, shinier and far more manageable.

2. Kerastraight Protein Mask (£25.00)
When I'm in need of a serious dose of moisture, the Kerastraight Protein Mask is a godsend. It's heat activated and so involves drying your hair twice (drying it in, washing it off, and drying again - chore) but results last for up to thirty days, so it's worth the effort! The longevity of the mask’s results also means that a tub will last absolutely ages. Trevor Sorbie salons use the heat-activation technique with this mask for in-salon treatments, so it’s a great way to get salon results at home - for a fraction of the cost.

3. Bumble & Bumble Grooming Creme (£21.00)
This styling moisturiser is a new found love, keeping my hair glossy and smooth with minimal effort. It’s recommended for use on wet hair, on which it creates a smooth finish with a natural ‘separated’ texture. However, I use it on dry hair by rubbing a small amount into the lengths of my hair and twist two sections into a clip. When I get to work, I take the clip out and viola - perfect, polished waves that stay put all day.

Have you tried any of my hair heroes? Do you have hair heroes of your own?
