BiOrganics produce a range of organic hair care products that are free from SLS, parabens, perfume and artificial colours. They were founded back in 1991 and aim to offer professional quality products that use natural and organic ingredients wherever possible, as well as being a cruelty free brand and being firmly against animal testing. The Salon Secret Elixir is a transparent hair oil which offers a salon finish to hair, smoothing and adding shine. It helps to keep hair frizz-free for up to 48 hours, and used over time will help your hair to grow stronger and healthier.
To use the oil, simply pump between one and three pumps (depending on hair length and thickness) into your palms and massage evenly into the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. I find that one pump is enough for my fine, shoulder length hair, but if you’re blessed with more voluminous locks then do add a bit more as necessary.
The oil is best used on damp hair before heat styling, as it will actually help to cut down on the drying time of your hair while offering a degree of protection from the heat. I’ve found that Salon Secret Elixir makes my hair feel really soft and provides a vibrant shine after use. The product also seems to aid detangling, making it easier to brush my hair and helping to reduce breakage at the ends. I’ve also used it as an overnight treatment, applying around 5 pumps to dry hair and leaving it to soak in overnight. You will need to rinse thoroughly in the morning, but the result will be super soft, silky hair that lasts for several days.
The Salon Secret Elixir is available in two sizes, which is great if you prefer to test products out before committing to a larger size. There’s a 12ml sample which costs £3.50, although this doesn’t come with a pump, or the full size 50ml is available for £13.00. I'm a big fan of this hair oil, preferring it to some of the more expensive and well established brands that I’ve tried.
BiOrganics is available online from their website.
