I often suffer from breakouts and with the muggy weather recently, I’ve being particularly suffering. I’m always very dubious about products that claim to act instantly, as this suggests that the product sits on the skin’s surface as opposed to soaking in to the lower dermal layers and really getting to the root of the problem: dermatologists recommend allowing 30 days for a skincare product to produce results, so can something really act 'instantly'? I prefer my skincare to be as organic and natural as possible, so was instantly impressed with the 96.5% natural ingredients in this Amie All Clear Instant Action Spot Clearing Gel. It includes eucalyptus oil, to help dry up spots, and peppermint oil, a natural cleanser and anti-inflammatory, both of which have helped clear up my skin in the past.

The product came with no instructions (handy) so I decided to apply a reasonably thick layer to problem areas overnight for an intensive treatment. I used this every night for a week, and although my spots didn’t vanish, I was very impressed with the results. This doesn’t claim to be a miracle treatment but I did notice a reduction in redness, as well as an improvement to the pigmentation of my skin. My spots have now cleared, and as the product claims, my skin looks clear and healthy. Overall I was really impressed with this product; of course it doesn’t make spots instantly vanish, but regular use does make a noticeable difference to redness and act as a great decongestant. The minty smell was really fresh and most importantly the product was non-greasy and didn’t irritate my skin.

The Amie All Clear Instant Action Spot Clearing Gel is available online or in Superdrug stores priced £4.95 for 15ml.
