With London Fashion Week around the corner, there's only one brand everyone is anxious to see work the runway - Burberry. However, before we get to talk about the fabulous fashion and theatrics that see every season greeted with a gasp, it's time to talk about the fragrance all the guys will be inevitably wearing. I'm a huge fan of the Burberry fragrances for women, the 'Body' scent now being a core part of my collection, so was extremely excited to see an addition for men in the form of Burberry Brit Rhythm. Packaged in a super slick and stylish bottle, with nods to the Burberry print of times gone by, the scent is sexy without being too heavy: "The fragrance opens with the intense freshness of basil verveina heated
by cardamom and juniper berries. In the heart a deeply sexy leather,
patchouli and styrax accord builds tension, before a heady mix of
cedarwood, incense and tonka bean seduce in the dry down." Mmmmmm.

The fragrance is heavily inspired by music and the dirty rock clubs of London Town, making this scent cool without being inaccessible. Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer, explains: "Music is at the heart of all Burberry activity and is used across all our platforms, from events to runway shows, digital experiences and advertising campaigns. Burberry collaborates with established and emerging musicians through many different platforms and Burberry Acoustic, created a few years ago, is a celebration of new emerging British music talent. Music plays an important role in both the inspiration of the fragrance as well as in the campaign for the launch." Suki Waterhouse stars in the campaign alongside ‘These New Puritans’ front man, George Barnett, making this a thoroughly British and unique launch in a market awash with cringe-worthy campaigns and horrendous scents.
