Celebrity collaborations are ten a penny, but when a nail powerhouse that's known for pushing the boundaries while remaining aspirational partners with a fashion darling, then it's definitely noteworthy. It was announced earlier this year that Olivia Palermo was undertaking a 'Guest Creative Director' role within Ciate London, so it was a natural progression for that editorship to evolve into a self-titled limited edition collection of nail paints that encompassed everything about her love for fashion and glamour. The first of four exclusive collections to launch includes three paint pots, selected by Olivia as the most wearable and fashion forward shades for all skin tones. The shades include this beautiful 'perfect red' called 'Hutch' as well as nude 'Sundays' and a delicious coral named 'Nantucket'.

Each polish has been formulated with 'dual polymer mesh lock technology' to provide long lasting colour, durability and high-shine. Volcanic glass provides natural cushioning and strength during application, while shellac helps protect and defend nails over a number of days; the result is a polish that glides over the nail effortlessly to leave a perfect 'just stepped out of the nail salon' look. The brush, as always, is a little larger and flatter than you usually get with nail polishes, ensuring it's simple to apply and doesn't get your nail in a mess. The polish is richly pigmented and incredibly shiny, providing a fabulous finish in only two coats. Reds can be tricky, but this is genuinely one of the best red polishes I've ever tried - it really does look elegant, sophisticated and incredible on the nail.
For an extra shot of glamour and nod to the period Olivia loves so much, the polishes are housed in boxes adorned with gold edging and the bottles feature a gold metal cap to reflect the classic designs of the 1940's. Each polish looks like a box of fragrance, ensuring that the £17.00 price point is well justified - it definitely feels like a treat. So many premium brands charge a small fortune for a sub-standard product, but with this I genuinely felt that the price was justified. As a limited edition, one-off collaboration, super special collectors item I love it; as a polish that makes my nails look incredible, I adore it. This is a polish you'll treasure and wish you bought more of so it never runs out.
The Olivia Palermo For Ciate London paint pots launch this June, priced £17.00 each.
