When it comes to lip balms, we're all secretly addicted. It's the one product we don't feel guilty about buying because it's filed under 'essential' rather than 'lust-worthy', more than justifying a few cheeky purchases. I've been a big fan of the cult EOs balms for some time, but they can be incredibly difficult to get hold of in the UK and will set you back a small fortune. I'd been seeing Balmi lip balms popping up in Topshop stores over the last few months and wondered if there was more similarity to the EOs classics than just the packaging; I was definitely pleasantly surprised.
Available in a multitude of colours and flavours (including mint, coconut, raspberry and strawberry) each lip balm is packaged in a handy square tub that's twisted open and closed. The cone shaped bullet is perfect for application, as it fits the shape of your lips perfectly to provide a sweep of comforting balm in one go. The scents are relatively strong but not sickly sweet, providing an addictive sensation when applied. Each balm is formulated with Vitamin E, shea butter and coconut oil, as well as containing SPF15 to ensure lips are left feeling hydrated and protected.
These definitely provide the same sense of satisfaction as an EOs balm, leaving lips feeling super smooth and moisturised without overloading them with grease; the lip balm stays put for a good duration too, not providing the sensation that means you're desperate for another layer within seconds. I love everything about these balms - the fun packs, the innovative bullet, the addictive scents and even the little keyring attachment that allows you to add them to your keys. At £5.00 each, they're an affordable way to inject a little fun into your beauty routine too!
The Balmi lip balms are available in four flavours, priced £5.00. Stockists include Topshop & Boots. Image may be NSFW.
