With the beckoning of a new season comes the need to update your fragrance reportoire. Although many people stick with one iconic and statement fragrance throughout the year, I prefer to shake things up a bit at the beginning of every season to ensure my scent remains fresh and on-trend. Although there are plenty of perfumes I return to year after year, there's inevitably something new and exciting to capture my attention; 2014 is no different. We've had a plethora of new launches land in stores and vie for our attention, but these three are definitely my three favourite picks.
1. DKNY: Golden Delicious Sparkling Apple (£37.00)
A rather delicious reincarnation of the classic green apple scent, this limited edition contains notes of ginger root and plum for a deeper and more sensual result. It still has the same lightness as the original, but the added spice provides a more Autumnal twist that's perfect for taking you from day to night. (Catch my full review here.)
2. Jo Malone: Wood Sage & Sea Salt (£82.00)
Although I've had this in my collection for months, it's only recently launched into Jo Malone stores. Inspired by the British coast, the fragrance is so uplifting and comforting whilst being incredibly unusual. The salty notes, combined with citrus patchouili, create something that's unique but suitable for all - this scent is suited to all occasions, all ages and pretty much all tastes. I haven't come across a blogger who doesn't love it. (Check out the full details in my post here.)
3. Burberry: My Burberry (£45.00)
The new fragrance from Burberry Beauty includes top notes of sweat pea and bergamot, with a base of centifolia roses and patchouli. The result is something that's complex, classic, elegant and perfectly suited to the colder weather - it's inspired by the scent of London fields after the rain, so it's no suprise that that's the image it creates in my mind.
