We're all rushed for time in the mornings and inevitably end up forgetting something, be it brushing our hair, adding a touch of mascara or moisturising our skin. For that reason Nivea's In-Shower Moisturiser has been a staple of my routine ever since it hit stores over a year ago; it offers a super-quick solution to moisturising that minimises faff and allows me to make the most of those snoozy ten minutes in the shower. You simply add a touch onto wet skin, leave it for a few minutes to get to work and rinse away with water. The result is hydrated and smooth skin from the moment you step out of the shower, without the dreaded sticky feeling that so often accompanies morning moisturising routines. It's a bargain buy and simplifies your morning (although I do always ensure I use a traditional moisturiser in the evenings and at weekends,) but there are also many more uses for the little bottle of wonder: here are my top five!

1. Body Moisturiser. (Obviously.)
Whenever you're in a rush there's no need to scrimp on a touch of moisturiser; Nivea have produced a really innovative and handy product that can be used during that 'wasted' time in the shower. (You know those five minutes you stand there half sleeping, before you wash out the conditioner.) The In-Shower Moisturiser removes the need to fight with sticky or greasy legs, especially in the colder months when you're struggling enough with tights as it is.
2. After-Sun.
If you spend a little too long in the sun and can feel your skin radiating heat, a little cooling In-Shower Moisturiser and a luke warm shower will help to soothe skin. Sunburnt skin isn't only uncomfortable and unattractive, but starved of moisture; Nivea's cream can help hydrate the skin and leave it feeling nourished. Just don't forget to apply SPF if you're planning on going out in the sun again after! (There's actually an In-Shower After-Sun available from Nivea too, FYI.)
3. Shaving Lotion.
If you don't like faffing with shaving foams but hate the feeling of dry limbs after you've shaved, then using the In-Shower Moisturiser as a shaving treatment works wonders. Simply apply to legs, leave for a few minutes to get the benefit of hydration and shave away - you'll have smooth, silky and well maintained pins in seconds. I do love a multi-functional product.
4. Dry Skin Treatment.
Little dry patches crop up unexpectedly on all of us and sometimes body lotions just don't cut the biscuit. Using a little In-Shower Moisturiser on targeted areas of skin, leaving it to soak in and work it's magic, can help to soothe dry areas. Although you may not want to wait around with blobs of cream all over you, it's great if you're sitting in front of the telly and have a few minutes to spare. (Just remember it needs water to activate, so make sure you wet the area first.)
5. Overnight Treatment.
Although the Nivea's In-Shower Moisturiser is designed to be washed off, there's no harm in leaving it on overnight to get the most of its skincare benefits. After showering in the evening, add the product onto your limbs and let it soak in; when it's dry just slip into bed as normal and wash the cream off the following morning. The benefit of sleeping while still having the In-Shower Moisturiser on will be super smooth skin the next day.
