New From Makeup Revolution: Limited Edition Eye & Cheek Palettes

Affordable makeup is no longer something to keep hidden away in your makeup bag. Just as Primark has become cooler than Prada, makeup that costs as much as your morning coffee is definitely having a moment. Makeup Revolution have only been available for a couple of months, but already they're making waves and offering some great gems at bargain prices. Added to their ever expanding collection are these cute palettes, offering up to 18 different shades for the incredible price of £6.00 each. Although it's inside what counts, it doesn't hurt that these come packed in striking boxes that make each seem like a luxurious little treat.

There are six different eyeshadow palettes overall, but the two featured contain the most wearable of shades that cover the spectrum of nude to smokey. Each palette includes eighteen different shades which can be mixed and matched to create every look imaginable. The pay-off is pretty good, especially considering the price, and the texture soft to the touch - they blend into the eye well and can be applied wet for a more intense result. To my unprofessional eye the colour combinations of the two different collections look pretty much identical, offering an indifferentiable spectrum of colour; these are definitely palettes you want to choose between, rather than purchasing both.

However, the blush palette is definitely worth a look. It includes eight different shades of blush, bronzer and highlighter, providing everything you need to add depth and definition to your skin. The texture is incredibly soft and works really well when buffed into the skin, while the pay-off is perfect for layering - not too strong, but strong enough to build a layer of colour over another. The bronzers aren't scary chocolate shades, ensuring they're perfect for pretty much any skin type, whilst the added highlighters help add a touch of light and radiance to your complexion.

For £6.00 each, you really won't get anything more extensive or of such good quality. Makeup Revolution are helping to bring variation and affordable products to an enthusiastic audience - these new limited edition palettes will no doubt fly out of their warehouse at the speed of light. They'll never compete with the likes of Urban Decay, but Makeup Revolution do cheap as chips cosmetics incredibly well. What do you think of these new palettes?
