I've fallen a little out of love with gloss recently, preferring to favour a tinted lip balm or go full-on with a bold and bright lipstick. Whereas I used to adore stocking up on glosses and buying every single brand I could get my hands on, now I prefer to invest wisely and use gloss as a way of brightening my complexion or adding texture to an otherwise matte look. Although there are hundreds of different glosses available, my favourites tend to be at the more expensive end of the spectrum (as they provide shine without an overly sticky sensation.) However, there's nothing wrong with stocking up on some cheap and cheerful alternatives to chuck in your bag and ensure you're always prepared for a gloss emergency. Available in 16 shades, it gives a glossy lacquer to lips and even injects them with a little moisture thanks to the inclusion of shea butter. This isn't too sticky, and it's not heavy on the wallet either - it's a great gloss to buy when you want to test a new colour, or simply are running low of glosses to choose from.
