Taking some time out to relax and reinvigorate your senses can be extremely beneficial. I always make time for a relaxing bath after a hard day, or simply after a busy period where I've been neglecting myself. A soak in a warm bath can really aid your body's performance as it enables you to fully relax and re-balance, but adding a luxurious bath oil can make all the difference. Although some may see expensive bath oils as an unecessary indulgence, if you pick one that really works for you it can really be a great investment. You only need a cap-full of oil for a great soothing experience, ensuring your little bottle goes a long way. Here are my top three bath oils you need in your tub this winter ...
1. Aromatherapy Associates: Deep Relax Bath & Shower Oil (£39.00)
This light and fragrant oil melts into warm water to leave your bath feeling luxurious and welcoming. The scent is both comforting and relaxing, thanks to the added sleep-inducing essential oils such as lavender, but also helps to stimulated an exhausted immune system. A multiple award winning product, the Deep Relax oil is perfect to use before bed to help relax the senses and set you up for a great night's sleep. I love this when I'm feeling a bit blue, or I just really need to chill.
2. REN: Moroccan Rose Otto Bath Oil (£30.00)
A recent discovery, but one that's been frequenting my bath tub a lot so far this year, REN's bath oil is formulated with rose oil that leaves a delicate and uplifting scent in the air. Rose oil is known for its stress-relieving and healing properties, which makes this a great all-round oil to use once a week. I love that it melts into water to leave a creamy milk, as well as the fact it leaves no greasy residue or film on the bath tub.
3. Dr Hauschka: Almond Bath Essence (£16.00)
If you love the smell of almonds and marzipan, then this is for you. A rather unusual bath oil, this also contains essential oils that evoke the feeling of a Mediterranean springtime. This is a much more affordable oil (and there are plenty of other fragrances available,) but it still provides a pampering and soothing experience when you need it most.
