Inspired by the heavy downpours that so often grace our city, the new collection features four different fragrances that capture four different moments during a Spring rainy day: Rain & Angelica is inspired by the early morning dew in London's parks, Wisteria & Violet by gentle morning showers soaking purple wisteria and stone walls, White Jasmine & Mint by afternoon cloud bursts that soak London's gardens, while the dark Black Cedarwood & Juniper captures the essence of midnight downpours.

Housed in beautiful ombre bottles, London Rain is quite a departure for Jo Malone who usually keep to classic scents and timeless combinations. However, with their yearly limited edition collections they seem to be pushing the fragrance houses boundaries and launching something a little more fun. Last year we had the Sugar & Spice collection (which was a little love or hate,) but this year the four fragrances definitely appeal to Jo Malone customers new and old. I love the deep musky scents of the Black Cedarwood & Juniper fragrance, but equally the Rain & Angelica is uplifting and refreshing.
It's impossible to describe how these four scents capture the essence of rain in the city, but they really do. As soon as you breathe in one of the fragrances you're transported to a moment in time: be it being caught during an epic downpour or just stepping out onto fresh grass after a night of rain. I'm already a huge fan of the Rain & Angelica I have at home and anticipate it being an absolute sell out when it's launched in March. I think these scents offer something different and unique that could also make them a great addition to the permanent Jo Malone collection - who knows, Rain & Angelica may become your lifelong fragrance sidekick.
