Having spent the last three weeks over-indulging in every way humanly possible, combined with lack of sleep and multiple occasions when I forgot to remove my makeup (please forgive me,) my skin reacted in the only way it new how: by breaking out in the hugest spot ever seen. The yellow tube in question, Dr PawPaw, is a multi-purpose soothing balm with antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. The formula features the soothing properties of fermented Pawpaw, the nutrient-rich Papaya (which is full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals which aid skin repair,) anti-inflammatory Olive Fruit Oil and Aloe Barbadenis Leaf Juice: an excellent ingredient for skin cleansing and toning, which also helps promote skin regeneration and restores moisture to skin. The clear balm melts when applied to skin and is absorbed relatively quickly to leave the goodness to work its magic. I used this on my dry post-spot chin and applied 2-3 times a day for three days - it really helped to soothe the area, promote healing and minimise the dryness I usually would experience.
Although an epic spot would normally take a week to heal, using Dr PawPaw I reduced this by at least half. The skin has healed a lot more effectively than I would normally expect, leaving only a teeny tiny blemish behind that will fade in the coming days. Because of the natural ingredients the balm didn't burn or irritate an open wound, nor did feel uncomfortable or greasy on the skin. Not only can Dr PawPaw be used on extremely dry areas and troublesome spots, but as a lip balm, moisturiser, cuticle cream or in the treatment of eczema and dermatitis. It's basically an all-round family favourite that can be whipped out whenever a need arises. I thought that this tube would cost a fair few quid, but it's actually only £6.95 for this giant tube - a total bargain! I know what I'll be turning to the next time I have an eruption on my face...
