Working On-The-Go Made Easy: The Acer Iconia A1 Tablet

Being a full time blogger and social media consultant, it's vital that I have the equipment that allows me to stay in touch with what's going on - no matter where I am or what I'm doing. I have a MacBook Air which enables me to confidently work both in my office and on the go, an iPhone 5 which keeps me in touch with my social media accounts 24/7, plus a Kindle HD Fire which provides a comfortable reading and viewing experience during my extensive journeys. So could the Acer Iconia A1 tablet add anything else to my technology party? I've been putting it to the test...

The Acer Iconia A1 is a super sleek mobile tablet that features a powerful quad-core processor to deliver a smooth and fast Android performance. The inclusion of Jelly Bean (for the techy amongst you) and Google Play allows you to download thousands of apps that would otherwise be available on an Android phone. The tablet is lightweight and sleek, ensuring it can easily be popped into a handbag for checking emails and blogging on the go. It's easy to customise and ensure you're getting the best experience possible, as well as ensuring it feels like it's an extension of your other gadgets. You can even download the Kindle app and turn the tablet into an e-book reader too, instantly providing access to your purchased books and even opening your current novel on the exact page you left it last! Even though I was skeptical at first, my Kindle HD Fire has now officially been made redundant.

Although the screen quality isn't as strong as the Apple products I'm used to, it still provides fast browsing and an enjoyable experience. The Acer Iconia A1 comes with 16GB of built-in storage (which can be increased with an SD card) and 7.9-inch HD screen, as well as Acer’s Touch WakeApp which makes it easy to access your favourite app straight from sleep mode. Essentially this is an iPhone with a bigger screen, without the ability to make calls. If you're constantly on the go and are sick of looking at the teeny screen of your phone, then this could be the answer you're looking for.

You can check out other Acer tablet reviews here. It's available online from John Lewis priced £169.95 - way cheaper than an iPad! Would you consider putting this on your Christmas list?
