Hugo Boss Nuit: Breakfast with Gwyneth Paltrow

It's not every day you get to start your morning having breakfast with Gwyneth Paltrow, but alas that's what I did today. With Mother's Day just around the corner, Hugo Boss invited me to hear from their Global Ambassador about why being a successful woman is so important, as well as finding out what her own mother children mean to her. Gwyneth said: “I’ve been very lucky and so work really hard to justify what I’ve been given in life. For me the biggest measure of my success is that I have these great kids that are really funny, smart and full of love.” I wasn't sure what to expect from a Hollywood superstar that's bedded Brad Pitt, been on Glee, cried at the Oscars and reinvented herself as an 'Earth Mother', but she really was quite lovely; welcoming, relaxed, open and honest, her comments made me realise she's just a woman like all the rest of us (even if she is married to a rock star and has millions in the bank.) You can tell wholeheartedly that she sees her role as a mother as her most important achievement and the thing she values most in her life. Gwyneth spoke about her love for fragrance too, sharing the fact that she only has white flowers in her home and continually has white lillies in her bathroom; she also has a fragrance cupbaord and around 50 different scents that she uses for different moods and occasions. Apparently she sees Hugo Boss Nuit as a sexy subtle scent that 'has a cool bottle,' and wears it unsurprisingly at night. The scent is described as blending "...a beautiful combination of sensual florals such as violet and jasmine together with white peach fused with aldehydes to create a wonderfully feminine aura, adding a vibrant, dazzling element in the a top note. The result is a perfectly balanced perfume which complements each woman, surrounding her with confidence and femininity as she prepares for an exciting night ahead." It really is a lovely fragrance that's universal in appeal, whilst still being unique enough to feel like you're in on a little secret.
