Perfect For Winter: Champneys Skin Comforting Miracle Balm

When the weather starts to get colder there are certain areas of my body that really feel it the most; in particular my elbows become rough and knees start to look powdery, crying out for moisture and nourishment. The Champneys Skin Comforting Miracle Balm uses a combination of 100% natural hydrating and healing ingredients to soothe and condition the skin, in a pot that's the perfect size to pop in your handbag for an on-the-go treatment.

The Miracle Balm blends shea butter, sweet almond oil and beeswax which help to moisturise dry and damaged skin, while also working to maintain its suppleness. Inside the prettily designed box you'll find a 15ml pot of light golden coloured balm, which is small enough to fit in handbags for day to day use as well as washbags for travelling. Although 15ml doesn't sound like much, the spa treatment brand has created a balm so emollient, that one swipe of the finger is enough to cover a whole knee with ease - which means the product is long lasting, as well as easy to apply when you're short of time.

The calming scent of lavender and chamomile oils, as well as the melt-on-contact texture, make this balm really enjoyable and soothing to apply; it's a lovely product to use before bedtime as well as during the day. After my evening shower I like to massage a small amount into my knees, elbows and tops of my wrists, where my skin gets particularly dry, and to the front of my ankles and tops of my arms where my self tan tends to grab. The comforting balm is easily worked into the skin, and leaves it moisturised with a healthy glow where it was previously rough and powdery looking. The salve can also be used on cuticles and lips, and is a soothing saviour for sore dry patches at the corners of the lips which can occur with the colder weather.

The Champneys Skin Comforting Miracle Balm is a lovely quick fix treatment to speedily revive undernourished skin, and will prove indispensable when the hydration-zapping central heating reaches full blast this winter. It's been my go-to product when when dry areas have needed some effortless soothing, and my knees have never looked or felt better.
