OOTD: Beauty School Drop Out

It's one of the most Instagrammed locations in London, especially at this time of year, but I couldn't resist popping down to the iconic Peggy Porschen's and posing by their festive decor. The glittering lights, snow adorned wreaths and pastel baubles just leave you feeling so warm and fuzzy inside - so much that their cakes and pink teacups play second fiddle! Just before the snow hit last week I popped down to enjoy the view and take my new fave top for a spin: has a slogan jumper ever been more appropriate than this is for me?! I may never have been to beauty school, but I'm certainly a beauty obsessive... And a slick of black liner and powerful red lip just seemed like the perfect combo.

I picked up this Beauty School Drop Out jumper from Joanie before we got married back in October, but packed it away and forgot about it until I was rummaging around looking for fresh and fun things to wear. (I've spent the last couple of weeks in jeans and jumpers, just trying to battle the cold early morning starts.) It's such great quality and seriously Riverdale cool, plus it nods to one of the best movies of all time - the colourways and a little something special too. Although it's not in stock right now, they do have a great selection of other slogan jumpers and tees that are perfect for the festive season; take a look here!

Matched with an ASOS skirt I picked up in the spring (but is still available online) that's the perfect shade of nude pink and a super flattering length, the jumper really is the focus and quite the talking point. Tassel earrings are definitely here to stay and I popped on these nude jewelled ones from River Island, which I've now got in quite a few shades; they really do help to spice up a look and make it feel really fresh, even when you're simply rocking a jumper. Side note: can you believe it was mild enough to go without tights less than a week ago?

Adding a touch of sparkle are my current fave party shoes from Marks & Spencer, alongside a new bag that I picked up in the Bicester Village outlet of Furla. I love the fact the shoes are glittery and elegant without being super high, meaning you can wear them all day or night without falling over your feet or worrying about that inevitable burn; they're a great style to wear to parties or on Christmas Day, if you're (like me) pretty terrible at wearing heels for anything other than sitting. They're pretty snug though, so if you have wide feet or thicker ankles they may not be super comfy for long periods of time - just a warning!

They match perfectly with this glittery Metropolis Mini back, which was reduced to £129.00 in the Furla outlet and just had to come home with me. I've got a couple of these bags in various styles and the size is just perfect for day or night, big enough to fit in my phone/keys/lipstick/cards without weighing me down. It's such a classic shape and style too, meaning I'll definitely get years worth of use out of it, plus the cross-body strap is a great bonus for when you want to hit the dancefloor. (A girl has gotta think of these things!)
