Marc Jacobs for Diet Coke

Well, it appears that 2013 is very much the year of Diet Coke. To celebrate 30 years of the brown bubbly stuff, not only are they bringing back the Diet Coke Hunk (rest my beating heart,) but they've today unveiled 'visionary' Marc Jacobs as their new Creative Director. Marc Jacobs will bring his unique vision to the brand by creating a limited edition collection of must-have bottles and cans, like Jean Paul Gaultier before him. Diet Coke say: "Inspired by the three decades, the chic designs capture the rise of female empowerment through the ‘80s, ‘90s, ‘00s, with a whimsical twist - true to Jacobs’ signature style." Marc has become synonymous with revolutionary ideas and pushing the boundaries as far as he can get away with, (naked self-portrait for the launch of his fragrance 'Bang' anyone?) so I'm extremely excited to see what he's going to come up with. Not only is he a great designer, a fantastic brand-builder and a brilliant ambassador, but he's also got one hot bod - who needs the Diet Coke Hunk when you've got Marc? He commented, “I feel very privileged to be the new Creative Director of Diet Coke and put my stamp on the 30th Anniversary campaign. Diet Coke is an icon… And I love an icon.” To celebrate this new partnership Marc has even taken on the role as the 'Hunk' in this teaser video, so sit back with a can of DC and enjoy the show...
