We all know that moisturising our bodies should be as regular as brushing our teeth, but sometimes we just don't have the time. An extra layer of body moisturiser in the morning can cause all kinds of trouble, especially if you have to negotiate a pair of tights on over a sticky leg. Nivea have launched their in-shower moisturiser that helps to cut down on another essential stage of body maintenance, by giving you the hydration you need in a format that's never been seen before. The big tube of shower-gel like product brings a conditioner for the body into the shower, to be used like a conditioner for the hair - after cleansing, add a layer of the creamy substance, leave for a few seconds and then wash away. The clever bit is that the formula is activated by water, meaning it's instantly absorbed without leaving any residue and claims to provide so much moisture that you don't even need to use a body lotion afterwards at all. I've been using this for a few days now and I do like it - it's the perfect product for using while your hair conditioner works its magic, so no additional minutes are needed in the shower at all. The instant feeling isn't one of superbly smooth skin (there's not enough time or product for that,) but you can feel a subtle difference between one arm and the next. For me the big selling point is extra hydration in the morning when I wouldn't normally bother - moisturiser application is a pre-bed ritual because I don't have the patience in the morning. Nivea's in-shower moisturiser doesn't cut the need for a decent body cream, but just gives you a little boost when the practicalities far outweigh the need. For £3.55 a bottle and for no loss of sleep, this is definitely a product I could get behind.
