As the nights draw in, the mornings get a little chillier and the black opaques come out for another season, it's the perfect time to start switching up your skin routine. Our limbs are exposed to brisk winds, the extreme change in temperature associated with central heating and hot baths, as well as the friction of tights being worn on almost a daily basis. This plays havoc with the hydration levels in our skin, often causing our limbs to become dry and scaly-looking in a matter of weeks. Although I love slapping on a really rich cream or body butter before bed, letting the formula get to work and help hydrate as I sleep, it's just not practical in the morning. Vaseline's spray moisturisers have long been a firm favourite of mine (thanks to their lightweight and fast drying texture,) but they've been upgraded with a little extra boost just in time for winter. In addition, the new Intensive Care Healing Serums are just what you need to help prevent dryness, soothe flaky skin and get you out the door as quick as you like.
Both of these products contain the concentrated power of micro-droplets of Vaseline jelly wrapped with silky luxurious moisturisers, providing up to ten times the 'healing power' vs their original formula. Although Vaseline alone (aka petroleum jelly) won't hydrate skin, only keep existing moisture where it's needed, the 'micro-droplets' work by penetrating deeper into the skin's layers and keeping the additional moisture 'trapped' within. The combination of these two ingredients work to soothe and moisturise skin, leaving it feeling healthy and looking smooth.
I really love the Spray Moisturisers and use them almost daily to provide my skin with a gentle hit of hydration; you can spritz on and go, removing the need to wait ten minutes before attempting to pull on your tights over sticky legs! Although they're not strong enough to use when I have real hydration issues, they're a great daily way to integrate moisturisation into any time poor routine. In addition, the new Healing Serums provide a rich and luxurious texture that instantly soothes tired skin; they're absorbed quickly and effectively to leave limbs looking and feeling healthy, while the intense formula provides a step traditionally used on the face for the body - it's like a little boost where you need it most.
