New From L'Occitane: Rebalancing Body Treats (Plus Innovative Bath 'Tea Bags' You'll Love)

L'Occitane seem to tick all the boxes when it comes to affordable luxury. Their super rich body butters, indulgent bath soaks and luxurious massage oils help to invigorate the senses while relaxing the mind; they're fabulous treats that bring to life L'Occitane's forty years experience in capitalising on the benefits of aromatherapy and the science of scent. Launched last year to almost universal applause, the L'Occitane 'apothecary style' Aromachologie sub-brand takes this fundemental idea further by using the power of scent in a range of Relaxing, Revitalising and now Rebalancing products. During this transitional period when we're between seasons and not too sure what day it is, we can all benefit from from a little helping hand; with a 100% re-energizing scent and scientifically proven rebalancing effectiveness, this new Aromachologie line is made to awaken the senses, help restore balance, and bring well-being and harmony to body and mind. Perfect.

Within the collection is an innovative Black Soap (an olive oil based paste that's enriched with eucalyptus essential oil,) that cleans the skin while removing impurities; it leaves skin feeling clean, soft and supple while the scent leaves a little spring in my step. The Exfoliating Shower Gel features just the tiniest hint of natural scrub, while the Rebalancing Face Mask helps to remove impurities while tightening pores; it doesn't add any radiance or smoothness as such, but definitely helps to deep clean without tightening the skin. The Massage Cream is more like a sorbet, melting into the skin to instantly cool and refresh; it's enriched with horse chestnut extract, glycerin and hydrating natural sugars to promote microcirculation, re-oxygenate the epidermis and reveal skin’s inner radiance.

However, it's the 'tea bag' infusions that instantly had me a little bit excited. Bath salts often leave gritty residue on the bath's surface that becomes incredibly irritating mid way through a relaxing soak, but these little bags are hung over the tap so the hot water is filtered through as the tub fills up. Not only does this reduce wastage and residue, but ensures the entirety of your bath water is infused with the rebalancing scent. Made with citrus fruit peel and revitalizing salts, at £3.00 each (or £15.00 for a box of five) they're not cheap - but they are a little indulgence that's well worth a payday splurge. If you like the idea of dabbling in bath salts but haven't quite plucked up the courage yet, then these provide a great little introduction without the faff.

All of the products within the L'Occitane Rebalancing range are indulgent, effective and affordable. They look great in my bathroom, help to provide a moment of calm during my week and lift me up when I'm feeling a bit blue. What more could you ask for during a dreary end-of-summer period? This could be just what you need to help you transition into autumn with ease...

The new L'Occitane Rebalancing collection is available in store nationwide now, priced from £14.00.
