Nails Inc are on a roll with their designer collaborations this year. First up Victoria Beckham with a price point to match her expensive taste, now it's the turn of New York based design team Alice+Olivia. Renowned around the world for their sexy and sophisticated styles, Alice+Olivia embody the Nails Inc spirit of not trying too hard but still looking fabulous - making it the perfect collaboration. The four piece limited edition collection has been directly inspired by the AW15 designs that hit the runway, encompassing stunning shades that will definitely be must-haves this coming Fall. (Sorry to get all American on you!) However, the Alice+Olivia look next season has ironically been inspired by London style 'with a distinct rock n roll edge', meaning it's right up my street and perfectly suited to grey city days.

Alice+Olivia’s CEO and Creative Director Stacey Bendet says: "This season the collection is about personal expression. It's about bold femininity. It's about glamour. Nothing completes an outfit like the perfect nail colour; I'm so excited to be collaborating with Nails Inc on such a chic capsule of nail polishes for fall!" The four shades she's chosen to put her name to include Next To Nothing (a creamy latte nude,) Black Diamond (a steel grey with metallic mercury,) Midnight Merlow (a rich purple aubergine) and Rose & Poetry (a berry pink.) It's very rare that I love all shades within a collection, but I would totally wear every one of these.
The nude latte is a universal all-year-round shade that will definitely provide value for money; the gunmetal grey appeals to my inner rock chick and will look awesome when used to create a touch of nail art; the berry pink is just the right shade of cool while the aubergine purple is undoubtedly going to be my go-to shade as we transition into the next season. The texture of the polishes is fab, providing a great colour result in only one coat with a high shine finish - the only tone that is tricky is the nude shade, which is a bit watery and needs a good three coats to look streak free.
These are very much 'classic' and 'staple' shades that won't go out of style from one year to the next; if you know you're going to get use out of them and treasure the tones to the very last drop, they definitely provide value. I've still got some Nails Inc polishes from a few years ago and they're still providing the same quality they did when I first opened the bottle; unlike cheaper polishes, the beauty is in the fact you know you're investing in something that will stick with you for more than a fleeting summer romance. Nails Inc have created a somewhat magical formula that I keep going back to, while this new collaboration ensures they remain relevant. I can't wait to see which designer collab they have up their sleeve next...
What do you think of this collaboration? Will you be snapping up any of the shades?
