I instantly know when I'm going to love a product: if it's from a brand I trust, offers up multiple benefits in one formula and feels delightful on the skin, then we're onto a winner. I had a sneaky preview of this much earlier in the year and couldn't wait to put it to the test; now I have, I can honestly say it lived up to all my expectations and more. Murad's new Invisiblur Perfecting Shield is a 5-in-1 multi-benefit product that features invisible SPF technology; if you hate sticky, white, gloopy suncare products then this is definitely for you. The transparent velvety smooth formula glides over skin to provide SPF30 protection and a practically invisible finish to the touch. Simultaneously it also blurs, primes, moisturises and protects against the signs of ageing to reveal a flawless complexion in just one step. Simple, effective and a wise investment in your skin.

When applied over your usual skincare (I still apply my eye cream, serum and moisturiser but if you're in a hurry it can offer those benefits in one pump,) this transparent formula also provides the perfect priming finish to ensure makeup stays in place all day. There's no need to use an additional product as the finish is almost identical to my favourite 'gel' primers (including Bare Minerals Prime Time,) saving space in your case for the holiday season too! Although I'm not too fussed about the 'blurring' qualities on offer, they do add an additional benefit if you're concerned about those fine lines, pores and wrinkles. If you remember the Nanoblur product that was launched some years ago and diversified opinion, this offers a similar finish without the heavy greasy film. It just helps to subtly 'blur' over pores without clogging them, helping to leave a more flawless finish.
What's even better is that Shitake Mushroom and Mucor Miehei Peptides help to stimulate collagen production and help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while Barley, Sunflower and Cucumber Extracts mimic the skin’s membrane structure to enhance its ability to attract and retain moisture. This doesn't feel like a skincare product, but it's great to know it's also doing some good below the surface and looking after our skin. I've never known one single product to offer me so many benefits in an individual pump; there's no need to apply primer, SPF or powder when using the Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield, because it does everything you need in one step. Not only is this a holiday space saver, but it's great to use all year round when you just can't face applying a runny sunscreen - even though you know you should. I've no doubt this will become a cult product of the future thanks to the sheer number of benefits it offers in a pleasurable formula; although it's pricey, it's well worth the investment.
