Flamingo Candles certainly have held that position for some time, being used as photography accessories and bedside accompaniments thanks to their simplicity and quirky kitsch jam-jar packaging. This summer they're expanding their home fragrance repertoire with the launch of their very own subscription service: The Melt Crowd. For £10.00 a month (including postage) you can have a selection of beautifully scented wax melts delivered to your door to keep your home smelling amazing; the eight tabs that will arrive on your doorstep with include a combination of old favourites, current scents, yet-to-be launched fragrances and concepts exclusive to The Melt Crowd.
To get the most out of each melt (which lasts for up to thirty hours,) place one in a wax burner, along with a tealight, and watch it melt to release a powerful, moreish aroma which fills the room in next to no time. With scents including Pina Colada, Lime & Mango, Coconut Milk, Mango & Dragonfruit and Daisy in the first box, it's like summer slipping through your letterbox. The melts provide an incredible fragrance without being overwhelming, filling my home with an uplifting aroma that's so much better than the chemical scents of traditional air fresheners.
