Three Great Uplifting & Hardworking Body Exfoliators Currently In My Shower

A little buffing in the shower not only feels great, but can really help your overall skincare and beauty routine. Consistent exfoliation can not only ensure our skin is healthy looking and refreshed, but it also helps to prevent clogged pores, acne, ingrown hairs, scarring, blemishes and all kinds of infections. If you suffer from breakouts or those annoying bumpy bits on your arms or legs, then exfoliation can really help the skin to regenerate and look like new. (Find out why exfoliation can make the world of difference in my post here.) I've always been into regular buffing, so there's undoubtedly at least one body scrub in my shower at any one time - here are three current complementary favourites that have been helping me step into the next season with ease.

1. Sanctuary Spa: Air-Whipped Souffle Scrub (£8.00)
Nourishing shea butter, sweet almond oil, grape seed oil and cotton extracts have been whipped together with rice particles and jojoba beads to form this decadent body scrub. It looks and feels like a dessert, so do try not to eat it in the shower! The light formula can be scooped up and massaged into skin to leave it gently buffed and polished; the small kernels work to lift away dry skin on the surface gently enough that this can be used every day. I'm not a huge fan of the fragrances The Sanctuary use, but if you can get past the slightly old-fashioned scent this is a treat for all the other senses.

2. Origins: Clear Improvement Detoxifying Charcoal Body Scrub (£25.00)
A brilliantly hardworking product, this incredibly dense exfoliator is packed with sea salt and brown sugar to lift away dull cells on the surface of skin. It also includes bamboo charcoal to draw out impurities from the skin and look after your limbs in the long term. It's a tricky one to get out of the tube, but a really small amount can be used to massage limbs until the formula melts and can be washed away; this feels like a real treat for both the body and mind - especially thanks to the invigorating scents of clove and wintergreen.

3. Urban Veda: Puryfying Body Scrub (£8.99)
I've had this scrub sitting on my bathroom shelf for some time, but only recently have discovered the wonderous power it has to wake me up in the morning! The formula is bursting with goodness and a scent that invigorates immediately: powerful plant-based cleansers, botanical extracts and aromatic essential oils help to cleanse, moisturise and detoxify skin, while cold-pressed neem oil aids skin health. Antioxidant-rich botanicals help keep skin supple and hydrated, while natural pumice buffs away dull skin to leave a smooth surface. After you've applied this to skin it leaves an incredibly cooling and minty-fresh feeling that's like a slap around the face - in a good way!

Have you tried any of these three body scrubs? Do you make sure you buff away dull skin regularly, or are you a little confused about what products to pick up?
