Traditionally used to communicate, paper has been used almost since the dawn of time to bring people together. It may be forever associated with subtle blue lines and classroom environments, but Paperself are challenging the uses of paper and creating some truly astonishing designs. Launched in 2009 by London based designer Chunwei Liao, Paperself unites artists, designers and manufacturers from East to West in challenging ways; not only do they produce paper furniture and accessories, but some incredible paper lashes that wouldn't be out of place at the annual Met Gala. Arriving in a super cute box, the lashes really are a piece of work that deserve to be cherished. Each pack contains two individual lash lines, but each are so long they could be easy cut in two to double the longevity of the paper lashes. The detail is incredible, the lashes including delicate bows, extravagant swirls and amazingly intricate lace designs, almost making them too pretty to use. Applied with some simple lash adhesive (which unfortunately isn't included, so you will need to buy seperately or use from another lash set,) these will certainly create a striking and unique look that will have heads turning. I can't see me wearing these down to the pub on Saturday night, but for an elegant twist on traditional lashes at a big event or party, these will definitely cause a stir.

Available on ASOS or Look Fantastic for around £12.00 a pair.
