Regularly moisturising your skin and body can help maintain a good level of lubrication, but more often than not there's one niggly bit of dryness that just doesn't seem to budge. Whether it's your hands, elbows, knees, feet, cuticles or nose, we all have a little area that frustrates us beyond belief - especially when we'd rather be focusing on prepping our pins for the forthcoming warmer weeks. Whether you're suffering with a specific skin condition, the aftermath of a burn or blister, or simply have been neglecting your preening schedule, then I have three handy helpers that are incredibly hardworking and will help treat those extra dry bits.

1. Sabon: Patchouli, Lavender & Vanilla Body Lotion (£8.35)
Available from their newly launched store in London's Covent Garden (as well as Amazon,) this little tube of cream is incredibly hydrating thanks to the inclusion of olive and avocado oils - nature's own moisturisers. It's not greasy or too thick, meaning it's perfect for popping in your bag and applying on the go. I've been using this as a hand cream, as well as on my limbs, and it provides a delicious relaxing scent too; the notes of patchouli, vanilla and lavender ensure you're left calm and comforted. It's not suitable for use on broken skin as it may irritate, but for a pop of hydration it's perfect.
2. Sophie La Girafe: Protection Cream (£14.99)
Developed for babies, but loved by all, this little range has been formulated to soothe and nourish even the most sensitive of skins. The rich cream instantly soothes dry areas and can be worked into the skin in only a few seconds, making it perfect for elbows and knees. Containing fabulous ingredients such as shea butter, olive oil, white tea extract, lavender water, aloe vera and jojoba oil, this is a treat for the body and senses.
3. Lanolips: Lovely Lanolin Golden Ointment Tin (£17.99)
The ultimate travel companion, this ultra concentrated ointment can be used for practically anything - dry lips, sore hands, flaking skin, healing wounds, cuticles and so much more besides. You can warm up the ointment with an index finger and massage it into the effected area, helping to soothe away any worries or discomfort. I'm such a huge fan of Lanolips anyway (I use the lip balms practically every day,) that it didn't take much persuading for me to try this.
Do you have any special formulas that help tackle those extra dry bits?
