I have so much makeup within my collection that I never quite know what to do with it, so when a product sticks around until I can apply the very last drop you know it's something to be celebrated. It's incredibly rare for me to hit the pan of a compact, squeeze out the last of a primer or even get to the end of a mascara tube before it dries out, so when I find that special something that I can't be without it's even more painful when it comes to an end. All of these makeup products have been featured on the site before, but I really wanted to highlight them again as staples that have seen me through and provided me with a flawless look in next to no time. These are the five makeup items I'm genuinely gutted are coming to an end...

1. Illamasqua Cream Eyeshadow in Vintage Metallix (£16.50)
Part of their vintage 'Once' collection launched last year, this delectable cream eyeshadow works equally as well when blended with a finger as blended with a bush. It's not too thick and is so easy to apply, helping to highlight eyes and create a flawless base on which to build colour. This nude shade is a fundemental part of my routine, as it's used whether I'm popping out for a coffee or getting ready for a big night out; my eyes love it. The pot contains a great deal of product too, making this a wise investment, but it does eventually come to an end - sob.
2. Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Highlighter (£22.50)
I was excited about this when it first launched, but the more I used it the more I loved it. The delicate shade can be worn even in the coldest winter, helping to add a touch of light to skin without being overly shimmery. The cardboard box does drive me a little insane (as the powder finds its way into the sides and has a tendency to fall out in chunks,) but I can put up with it knowing the lightweight powder works wonders for my skin.
3. Clinique Anti-Dullness Superprimer (£20.00)
Primers are definitely the one product I recommend the most, as they can help solve a multitude of skincare and makeup dilemmas while aiding longevity. This velvety smooth number glides over skin without feeling heavy, helping to brighten and correct dull tones while keeping makeup locked in place. You need such a small amount to put it to work, while the creamy texture doesn't require any soaking in time - a bonus in the morning when every second counts.
4. Benefit Majorette Blusher (£23.50)
One of my favourite Benefit launches of the last few years, this can be used to create a natural flush on cheeks or built-up for a stronger peachy finish. I love it on the apples of my cheeks over a lightweight base for barely-there makeup, but it works just as well blended upwards with a touch of bronzer. Basically it suits pretty much every skintone and has a creamy texture that's really not scary at all - although it's pricey, it's worth a payday splurge thanks to its multifunctional offering.
5. Clinique Lash Power Feathering Mascara (£18.00)
My favourite 'daytime' mascara, this provides a really natural and effortless finish while ensuring eyes look wide awake. The texture is slightly 'sticky', which helps to build up layers while lifting lashes; there's no clumping whatsoever, just a really clean result. It's great for daily use or when you don't want too much focus on your eyes - I'm also a fan for when I'm letting my lips do the talking, or I have a hairstyle that could make everything look a little OTT. Although it's a lot smaller than other mascaras, it's become a firm favourite and I'm upset there's practically nothing left!
