NYX Butter Lipstick: Intense Colour, Comfort & Shine

I do love a lipstick, but unfortunately they mostly dry my lips by midday to leave behind a slightly dodgy colour line and a pout that's in need of a moisture boost. In these NYX Butter Lipsticks I may have found the answer, as they're infused with so much oil and wax that they feel like you're applying a slick of balm rather than bullet of colour. Lipstick can be off-putting if you're intimidated by the maintenance routine and requirement for re-applying, but these make a statement lip easy as pie. The texture is incredibly lightweight and easy to apply, with no drag or flaking whatsoever; the colour result is seriously impressive for such a budget brand, making on-trend and powerful pouts easy to achieve and comfortable to wear.


Available in twenty two different shades, you can choose whether you go super bold or stay on the nude side. The formula practically melts onto lips to provide a great colour result, premium finish and subtle shine without drying lips. You do need to use a lip liner to draw around the contour of lips, sealing in the colour to where you need it to be, because of the fluid texture - it does bleed a little and is difficult to get a precise finish, but that's easily overcome with a nude liner. I don't have much experience with this budget beauty brand at all (and they're no longer available on the high street as far as I can tell,) but these are fab little lipsticks that are worth tracking down.
