I've made no secret of the fact I'm a bit of an eye cream fiend - anything that will help cover and conceal the fact I've had a bad nights sleep and not nearly enough time away from my laptop. Although I have dozens of tubes within my collection, never before have I seen an eye balm that's formulated to provide a luxuriously rich experience. Bare Minerals Mineralixirs Eye Nourishing Oil Balm aims to revitalise your delicate eye area and smooth away the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles; the solid balm can be melted using a warm finger and massaged into the under-eye area.
Although you would expect the result to be greasy, messy and overload the skin, the balm is surprisingly light and easy to use. Formulated with restorative oils and skin-enhancing minerals, the innovative texture helps to soften the delicate skin around the eyes for instantly refreshed, younger-looking eyes. This isn't a product I would use in the daytime or under foundation (although it's lightweight, the slip of the balm just doesn't like sitting under makeup) it's great to use on non-makeup days or as an eye night treatment.
Unlike other creams that are instantly absorbed, this hangs around for a little bit to allow you to massage it in; facial massage is a massive trend right now because it really does work, stimulating bloody flow and helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines. This is a great product to get you into the habit and a really luxurious pre-bed treatment if you're concerned about dark circles. I haven't been using it long enough to see if it makes a difference long term, but I do love the fact this is a little bit different and pushes the boundaries of what I'd expect - especially from Bare Minerals! What do you think of this latest skincare innovation? Are you on-board with eye balms?
The Mineralixirs Eye Nourishing Oil Balm is available online and from Bare Minerals concessions, priced £26.00.
