Antonia Burrell's self-named brand was one of my favourites of 2014. Her incredible formulas are paired with knowledge of working in her Notting Hill practice with real patients (how many of these 'experts' putting their name to brands haven't seen a client in ten years?) providing products that really do provide solutions to problems. During January (after a few weeks of indulgence, lack of sleep and little exercise,) our skin can look and feel a little worse for wear; I know that my complexion is in need of serious moisture, a little attention and lots of pampering. Antonia Burrell's 7-in-1 Mask Supreme offers everything I want from a face mask without drying my skin, causing an overload of product or cracking all over my bathroom.

Offering seven different actions in one pot (it hydrates, smoothes, detoxifies, repairs, clarifies, illuminates, protects and perfects your skin) it's the epitome of multi-tasking skincare. Based on the science of plants, all Antonia's products are packaged within black glass to ensure the formula remains protected and performs as it's intended; this means there's no separation, discolouration or off-putting smell, like many other masks I own that have been sitting on the bathroom shelf for a couple of months. The formula itself is much lighter than you would imagine; although it looks like a clay or mud mask in the pot, it actually applies like a cream and sinks into skin as it gets to work.
Unlike many face masks that have to be removed with a trowel, this washes off easily with only a swipe of a warm and damp flannel to leave skin feeling fab. A little of this goes a really long way, minimising the need for overloading skin and ensuring you get value for money. (At £57.00 for a 50ml pot you better make it last!) If you leave it for long enough the majority of the formula is actually soaked up by the skin, providing how much goodness it contains - my skin can't get enough! After a long soak I probably have to remove only about 25% of what I initially applied.
This treatment is supercharged with 'time release Oleosome technology' to deliver improved elasticity and hydration into the epidermis, instantly and over time; you can feel a difference in skin as soon as you wash off the formula, but you can also feel the benefits for hours after. It also features Phoridium Extract (scientifically proven to slow skin ageing by 64%, brighten and even the skin tone by 42%, protect from UV damage by 64% & prevent sunburn cells from forming by 98%) and Bentonite Clay to draw out impurities without drying the skin, whilst a clinically proven patented Amazonian Bio-Active reduces blemishes by up to 72% - that's a huge difference if you're prone to breakouts or pimples.
Antonia claims that "with every use skin is brighter, smoother, firmer, healthier, younger and moves a step closer to complexion perfection." I have to agree that my skin instantly feels smoother, firmer, plumper, more youthful and a little bit glowy; most other masks leave my skin feeling dry and as though they've removed the badness, whereas this definitely feels like it's injected a lot of goodness. It was a helping hand during the over-indulgence of Christmas, and it will continue to be one of my favourite skin savours throughout January.
Antonia Burrell's 7-in-1 Mask Supreme is priced £57.00 for a 50ml pot
