I'm a bit of a fragrance fiend, sporting a different scent almost every day of the week. I've always believed that there's no such thing as a signature scent, that perfume should be changed and enjoyed to suit the season and occasion; if you can have fun with your clothes, accessories and makeup then why not the way you smell too? Although I have an ever expanding portfolio that gets updated at the start of every season, occasionally fragrances drop onto my desk that make me think and shake things up a little bit. As we head into gifting season and everyone is on the hunt for that special present, here are three unusual and quite unique incarnations of scent that may provide the perfect answer.

Melvita L'Or Bio Eau de Toilette (£36.00)
Inspired by the signature scents of some of Melvita's best selling products, L'Or Bio contains notes of Italian Bergamot, White Jasmine, Fig-Tree Leaf, Tiare Flower and Virginian Cedar. The result is a unique and luminous fragrance that's definitely something special. It's a lot warmer than my usual perfumes, working more as an overall body mist than a scent that will leave you feeling ready-to-go. However, it will definitely cause a statement and reminds me somewhat of the Caudalie Divine Oil scent launched earlier this year. It's comforting, cosy and perfect as a special gift.
Label.M Hair Perfume (£19.50)
The first foray into fragrance by Toni & Guy's professional brand, this hair perfume combines strengthening Omegas and Argan Oil help to rebuild dry, damaged hair while leaving a delicate scent. The oil within the fragrance softens and shines, whilst the fresh scent of citrus blossom, rich woods and white florals leave a subtle fragrance on hair that lasts all day; it's a great finishing product that combines two benefits to leave hair feeling and looking fabulous. There's nothing worse than dry or dull second day hair during the party season, so a quick spritz of this will leave it refreshed and smelling amazing. Although the bottle is a bit naff, it's a great little gift for girlfriends.
Fendi Furiosa Eau de Parfum (£66.00)
Exclusive to Harrods, this luxurious scent definitely isn't for everyone - but the bottle is so beautiful it's definitely worth a look. Combining deep notes of Bergamot, Amber and Wallflower, it's quite an overwhelming scent at first but definitely settles to leave a much more wearable perfume on the skin. It's perfect for Grans, Aunts or Mums that love a deep and slightly dark scent, especially if they're also easily swayed by a beautiful bottle that resembles a treasure of precious stones.
